Commercial Description:
Copper-colored ale is medium-bodied and highly hopped. Its flavor is delightfully complex: tangy fruit at the start, with an assertive hop crispness and a long malty palate that one well-known beer writer has compared to the flavor of freshly-baked bread.

Creamy thin white head. cloudy honey brown. Smells like honey and a bit of hops. somewhat light. Tastes slightly sweet with hints of sap and smoke in aftertaste. Long finish. Surprising and refreshing.

Bottle... Poured deep a rusty-ish amber with an off-white head, nice lacing. Copper-like hops woodsy characters on the nose. Fizzy, mild carbonated palate with earthy malts and hops. Simple and straight forward. Cereal-like grains in the finish.

12oz bottle, Variety Sampler Mixed 12pk. Pours clear copper color, tall light tan, foamy head. Nice lacing. Aroma is very bready, some citrus. Nice barley malt scent. Full flavored. Nice crystal malt character, pale malts and caramel, even some honey notes. Quickly followed by a pine bitterness. Nice lingering hop character. Lots of hops and still just short of an IPA. Very enjoyable. Highly recommended! 22mar09

This is an ok Pale ale, but nothing too special. Solid beer with a medium body, the Shoals Pale Ale decent malt balance to the hops.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice copper color with a light white head. Pretty decent balance b/w the malts and hops w/ an edge to the hops but not as heavy as an IPA. Slight citrus fragrance. Light to medium bodied.

the water in this beer is kinda bland and watery. the hops are strong with a grass and pine flavor. the bitterness sticks with you all the way.
