Clearish light golden color with a small white head. Sweet bitter beginning that fades in the finish. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2009 Bottle from Sean. Pours out a orange yellow color with a thick white head that goes away quickly. Smell is malty and sweet. Some spice is in there as well, clearly. Taste is smooth and easy to drink, and really for what it is intended to be this is pretty much under rated. It isnt suppose to be a huge imperial stout so I guess that is why it gets lower marks I wish I could buy this, this is as sessionable and as pleasing as Bells Lager and Prima Pils. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Too much hate on this beer! Pour was yellow, clear and hazy on the edges and a swirl of something that looked like smoke in the center. Nice large pocked head. The aroma was vegetal and a bit funky. The flavor was sweet malt with some vegetal notes and a low level of bitterness. I sorta enjoyed it despite it not quite being awe inspiring. DeadGirl (238), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Updated: Oct 18, 2009On draught at RNH (NYC): Pours out a foggy orange hue. Completely dissatisfied with the taste. Clean finish, but disturbingly too bitter and hints of sweetness just didn’t balance out, or do it justice. #015 on 14062009, DG. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 13, 2009 Bottle, Mondiale 09. Mild hoppy aroma. Light yellow, small white head. Refreshing soft body, slightly yeasty taste, light malt. Not bad, tough to stand out on a heavy sampling fest day, but it was a good sized sample and it was not too bad. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Cracker-like cereals and subtle herbal hops converse with fruity spices in this drinkable, sweetish Belgian-style Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-Voluptuous foam tops the turbid beige orange.
-This does not stand up to the Dominus Vobiscum Blonde I had had right before it.
-Hops are far too shy for me to say this beer is balanced.
-The Belgian yeast character is timid.

Slightly hazy, medium orange brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Harsh grainy corn alcohol flavour. Medium body is sharp. Not great.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 11, 2009 Pours a burnt orange color with little to no head. Nose is a light citrus with a strange stale smell, also a little malty sweetness. Flavor has a slight sourness and apricot, peachy notes. Also a very slight malt backbone. Very light and finishes with just the slightest bitterness. Doubt if I will be visiting this again.
