Fair aroma of spices and a taste to match that, though it seemed a bit watery to me. Probably because it was late September and it is supposed to be a Spring beer. meh. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 15, 2009 Pleasant lemon-hinted herbal pilsener malt aroma, coupled with some sweet phenol and herb tones, leaking through from spice additions. Pours a well-hazed dark peachy-gold, with an off-white head, low. Flavors echo the aroma, adding a crackery, wheat-like depth. There’s more distinct near-metallic pilsener malt character, indicating some age to this bottle. Gummy hops and juicyfruit yeast byproducts add complexity. This is nice. It seems a little dead, like the yeast were pushed and the pils malt isn’t the freshest. I can see having this super-fresh on tap that it would be an insanely drinkable summer thirst slaker. jeremytoni (1106), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a murky orange color and an inch of white head that dissipates rapidly. The nose is soapy and citrusy. Flavors include wheat, subtle starfruit, more soap, and bread. Medium carbonation and lite body. Decent; I probably won’t buy this again though branspra (221), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a larger, frothy white head. Lacing is average. Aromas of citrus, light malt, and a hint of sage. Very lively mouthfeel with a slick finish. Flavors of crisp apple, light sage, and a hint of lime. Good beer for summer drinking. pressboxjoe (73), , New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Bottle. Smells and tastes malty and metallic. No head. Muddled spicy, bit like hard candy feeling in mouth. Extremely carbonated. Damico (173), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 19, 2009 The beer has a great, subtly cloudy color, which goes with a vague wheat flavor mixed with spices. There is flavor throughout this ale which gives it a high rating, for me in that Belgian tradition. Radek Kliber (3945), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
