Very dark apperance, like dark chocolate. Steady head from draft, nice softburned flavours, in nose and taste, but malty sweetness too. Bitter aftertaste, a mouthfull om malts.
Good bockbeer, the best for the past 5 years to some people in the Netherlands.

Aug 9, 2008 A little hazy dark brown colored beer, with a small beige head. The aroma of caramel and chocolate malts, with dark fruits. The taste of chocalate, raisins and raspberry. Some spicey, caramel and a little bittersweet. The aftertaste is bittersweet as well.

Pours deep brown with a dense, creamy, off-white head. Good duration. Aroma has lots of dark chocolate, toffee. High carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour has cocoa, chocolate, lightly roasted. Some yeast character and light liqourice. A very nice bock (not a BSA). Nice, dry finish.

Mar 10, 2008 Blind tasting at Papsoe. Hazy reddish dark brown colour with a nice little dense head. Aroma of chocolate, malt and caramel. Flavour of caramel, malt, chocolate and ends up bitter and dry.

Dec 29, 2007 Bottled. Hazy reddish amber with large white foam. Almonds, caramel, sweet licorice and alcohol in the aroma. Yeast, caramel, figs and alcohol in the full flavour. Plastic notes of dried fruit and caramel in the finish.
