Clear, dark amber colour. Small head. Flavour is nice, but the hops get too much IMO. The hoppiness turns a bit sour after some sips. Nice carbonation. Smooth and swelling mouthfeel. sayravai (3771), Helsinki, Finland

Slightly sour appleish aroma with herbs and flowery hops. A hint of Orval and Fantomes. Smoothly toffee-malty, dryish and slightly sour, aromatic-hoppy flavor with a softly bitter finish. Medium-bodied, slicky and smoothly carbonated palate. An interesting, dryish, aromatic and tasty ale. jbrus (4895), Delft, Netherlands

They even got the Cascade aroma and flavors right. Not bad, not exciting. Fruity citric aroma. Amber color, firm beige head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, well hopped, light citric, fruity, dry and a bit thin (what a pitty). DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 3, 2005 Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Red-amber beer, with a creamy, but receding head. Strong hoppy aroma, fairly sharp and crunchy. After the aroma, this is a bit of let down and ends up being rather like a standard Belgian ale. Slightly metallic taste - clean and quick and actually rather lacking in flavour, especially fro the abv. Gets a little more interesting as it warms up, but still disappointing. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2005 Bottle. Some floral hop in the nose, American hops. Some boiled vegetables and some acidic yeastyness make it less enjoyable than it could have been. But there is some piney, citric hops in there. Good to see the Dutch having a go at an American Pale Ale though. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Very hoppy and fruity aroma. Very pleasant bitterness, compensated with some malts and little sourness. Great easy to drink beer. Sampled in a PINT blind-tasting session Tried this beer next to a real American Pale Ale (Doggie Style Pale Ale). Compared with the American brew, this one is more fruity and way less hoppy. Not as impressive as i initailly thought. MartinKubert (862), Copenhagen, Denmark
