| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 15, 2005 Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, cookie,
caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly
bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. It’s a bit too
by-the-numbers and plain for the style, but it’s clean, quaffable, and
pleasant. Swordmyst (12), Herndon, Virginia, USA

Good balance, not too overpowering in any one way. A very drinkable, nice beer. I think this style in general is a good option for novice drinkers...and this particular beer would be toward the top of the pack.
