Gurst (338), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA May 10, 2007 Strong malt flavor, but the hops take over quickly. Floral, pungent hops. Ends dry, and not particularly rich. beerbill (1917), Laurel, New York, USA Jul 27, 2006 12 oz. bottle. From my notes - this was actually purchased and sampled 3 years ago. Pours a medium amber with a moderate head that lasted less than half the glass. Malt was definitely noted in the aroma along with some grassy notes. Malt flavor came through first, followed by bitter hops. The hops were a bit over the top for me, a little too bitter. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Aug 1, 2005 Draught. Pours copper with a small frothy tan head and excellent spotty lacing. Sour malt (grain, meal) aroma with a hoppy nose. Bitter hoppy grain malt and yeast flavor. Medium bodied and fizzy palate.
