Great clean appearance with perfect fresh floral nose. Body is just right, with slight citrus bite and huge flavor. Finishes a bit dry and thin, but otherwise this is textbook and tasty. glkaiser (1171), Seattle, Washington, USA

Wonderful aroma and taste to match. A bit too light, and might benefit from a bit more body. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

It may be in part due to my Eastern Washington upbringing (land of wheat and barley). This was a tasty beer, but frighteningly sparse in respect to this Harvest Ale necessity as I see it. Fresh hops dominate, and although I respect the mentality that a harvest of hops is just as important as a grain harvest, I wish the malt was a touch stronger. TimE (1308), Tokyo, Japan
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 12, 2004 Starts off with a hoppy nose of cascade hops. In the body, malt starts to come into play and then a played out dry grainy malty finish. Waaaayyy too hoppy for the style. Crit (2407), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 17, 2002 Very fine, intense hop aroma with mango tones...Color is a rich gold with a healthy white head--good patchy lace...Flavor has a hoppy countenance that is sharp but very light, with citrus-rind brightness...Subtle sweetness creeps into the scene towards the misty hop finish...Mouthfeel is a little thin, and although the balance is OK, clearly needs a little "oomph" to better showcase its fine ingredients...Overall, this brew "teases" the drinker a little in that it features excellent ingredients, but does not present them prominently enough to render full satisfaction...
