beerbabybeer (39), langley, Washington, USA Apr 29, 2005 pours a reddish amber with a thin white head amd a slight release of gasses. taste is sour/putrid, with a strange, slightly sickening metallic flavor. smells how it tastes. mouthfeel is smooth. i don’t care for this beer much, and snuffels hostel in brugge deserves a better beer with it’s name on it. go to snuffes!!!! it’s awesome! brugge is wonderful! cheers Engelsmann (653), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 30, 2005 ZBF 2005. Pours dark golden, with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and spicy. Taste is slightly sour, with some malty sweetness. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Mar 30, 2005 Dark golden colour, small white head. Refreshing sourish and malty flavour. Emil (6075), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 29, 2005 Zythos Beer Festival, Sint-Niklaas, Belgium 2005. Amber colour with a white head. Light sweet spicy aroma and a sweet malty light sour taste. Medium body and a sweet sour finish. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Jun 2, 2004 Amber coloured. Very nice spicy peach aroma. The flavour is sour and fresh. The finish is dry. Complex and interesting. rauchbier (2993), Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, England Apr 15, 2004 Bottle conditioned, ZBF 2004. Amber gold, moderate white head and moderate condition. Low malt and high wild yeast notes (intentional?). Fruity tart in the mouth with more wild yeast that becomes chemical like. Tart fruity finish with traces of spice. Suspiciously like an infected beer.
Ungstrup (14757), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 21, 2004 An amber beer with not head. The aroma is sour as if it is infected - or is it just the spices, but also malt sweetness. The flavor is sweet in the beginning from malt and caramel, but then again sour as if it is infected. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 8, 2004 Amber; white head, fast gone. Spicey nose (which I KNOW - not identify - to be paradise seed) on top of crystal malt. Bit over-burnt smell. Sourish taste, once more sloeberry-like, but quite clean & crisp. Extremely refreshing - perfect palate-cleaner. Rather light-bodied. Strange, but well worth looking for. Normally only at the YH in Brugge.
