Commercial Description:
This medal winning India Pale Ale is brewed in the true Northwest fashion. It has an intense hop flavor and aroma with a dry bitter finish. It definitely has enough hops to "send you over the edge."

On tap at the NABA festival 2008 and recommended by Jordan. Pours a light orange with a touch of red and a very nice thick white head. The aroma is full of hops, both pine and grapefruit like, and some light honey. The flavor was bursting out, a smooth and sweet hops that has a ton of flavor and meshes well with the light malt and other flavors. A definite stand out beer. Quality IPA.

Draught @ Harry’s - Nice 1/2" white head on a beautiful pale orange hazy pour. Aroma of hay and grapefruit with a dark sugar malt background. This is one bold IPA, floral bitterness on the front end, straight bitter on the back. The middle is a wonderfully built malty, citrusy, spring-like balance of subtle sweet and astringent sour. I was very impressed, would definitely drink again...

3/7/08 on draught at the brewpub. Aroma is extremely citrusy with a somewhat grassy backbone; sweet malt is just barely noticeable. Appearance is hazy gold with a moderate maintained off white head. Flavor is tangy as well, but not as strong as the aroma. Here the earthy and grassy flavors come through easier, as well as a respectable sweet pale malt background that balnces nicely. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a light spritzy carb feel. Overall, complex and well balanced, a must try for someone who loves more citrusy than harsh IPAs.

Draught @ Kahootz: Fiery golden, fairly clear, moderate off-white head, nice lacing, light carbonation.   Good strong hop nose, very slight earth aspect.   Good balance of hops and malt on the tongue, earthy, a little soily, otherwise good old citrus bitterness.   Fairly full bodied, flavor lasts from start to finish.   Not whimpy and yet not raw.   Solid example!

Draught at brewery. Great hoppy nose. Floral and sweet with fresh apricots. Great malty presence that balances nicely with the hops. Clear amber gold with foamy lacing head. Medium body with light carbonation. Mild sweet malts to start followed by great bitter hoppiness, fresh and juicy. Floral with grapefruit and apricots. Bit bitter end large bitter after. Slightly on the bitter side and a bit off balance with the malt character.

@Mountain Beerfest-on tap-pours a thin off white head and copper color. Aroma is dry, bitter hops. Taste is dry, bitter hops (simcoe, summit, a little cascade), token medium malt. Did I say dry? OK carbonation.

Draft: Dark orange / amber pour with a nice frothy head. Solid blend of floral and citrus hops, a little bit of pine, and some malts to balance. A well done IPA from Sockeye!
