Commercial Description:
This medal winning porter pours dark brown with a rich tan head. A medium malt sweetness balances with the hops to produce slightly chocolatey overtones and a smooth finish. "Keeping the wheel rolling."

Dark chocolate brown. Thin layer of head. Smells of chocolate. Tastes as it smells. Little chocolate overtones with a nice roast finish. Very nice beer.

On Tap at brewpub: Unless the server got it mixed up, this one tastes more like I expected the purple haze stout to be. Anyway, it is black with a brown head. The choco-mocha aromas are great as well as the aftertaste of burnt chocolate. The body is thin, but provides a creamy feel. Overall, the taste reminded me chocolate covered espresso beans and cardboard mixed together -- which actually tasted better than it sounds. I really liked it.

Pours a deep brown with an ample tan head. Taste is rich with chocolate, coffee, and roastiness. There is also a medium amount of hop to finish. Solid porter.

Best beer I had in Boise (out of 20 different brews in one day) Pure maltiness, very low texture, bery low mouth feel from assumed low carbonation. Excellent head retention and nice med-full body.

Aroma was of chocolate and coffee with a bit of roasted malt. Appearence was very dark with a good head that went away pretty quick. Tastes like Fuller’s London Porter but with a little more alcohol. Watery, east to drink and doesn’t coat your mouth. Not too subtle, but not to strong, a good difinitive porter.

On tap at the brewpub in Idaho. Pours a almost pure black color with a large white head and lots of lacing. The aroma was rich; roasted, almost smoky malts, chocolates and coffee. The flavor was great; a strong mix of coffee, chocolates and a powerful roasted malt. Lots of flavor. Very nice.
