jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA Oct 1, 2006 On Tap: the brewer called this an english pale ale, I would tend to agree. Pours a nice golden color with a small head, aroma is sweet and bitter. Taste is sweet from malt, some bitterness, light citrus tones, and a bit of fruitiness. Not as intense as a esb. Very pleasant. Light golden amber with small white head and traces of thin lacing. Mild sweet malts and faint citrusy hops in the aroma. Flavor was easyon the hops and mild fairly sweet malt profile. Strange feel, dry and a bit bitter. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 9, 2005 Somewhat aromatic with flowers, citrus, and earthy hops, hints of toast and malt; well balanced and tasty bitter that has a long finish, pleasant medicianl hints, and a musty dryness over a decent malt base; good Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 7, 2004 Pours orange-gold with a creamy head and sheets of lacing. Aromas of lemon and grapefruit with floral hops, candy and sweet malts. Again sweet malts visit us along with caramel, floral, citrus and bitter hops that blend very well. Nicy hoppy palate and a dry, bitter finish. Well made bitter.
BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Jun 16, 2003 Updated: Mar 26, 2004ReRate on-tap at Sockeye: Hazy bronze color with a nice thick white head. The aroma is spicy with herbal hops and a sweet malt body. The flavor is also moderately hoppy with a good blend of hops similar to their IPA but a little less balanced and a little more toned down. Finishes slightly astringent, not too bad.
