500ml Can (Thanks to my lovely girlfriend, Kristiina) - Brown with red tinges and a foamy head. Fruity aroma with caramel, dried fruit and a metallic hint. Sweet and fruity taste, with malt, toffee, marzipan and raisins. The finish is sweet, slightly bitter and roasted.

Can from Systembolaget. Very typical old fashioned Scandinavian Christmas beer, sweet malt dominates it all. Boring, standard beer, pick something more inventive!

Can from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Short-lived, beige head. Reddish amber in color, brilliant clarity. Sugary, lightly toasted malt aroma with nuances of tinned fruits and caramel. Light to medium malt body, drier than the arome indicate, lightly toasted with some pepper tones. An apple-ish fruitiness is noticable, also a fair amount of earthy hops. If not diluted, a bit thin in the mouth. Body is quite fizzy and lack some weight . Short, dry malty ending. Not bad, but hard to get the Christmast mood with this one.

500 ml can. Copper colour. Clear. Tall off-white creamy head that clings to the glass. Floral hop aroma with hints of citrus and a light chocolate malt aroma. Soft aromas, and has a distinct lager aroma. Crisp hop bite initially. Then münchenermalts, but the body itself is medium and with a surprisingly dry texture. Toffee and lightly burnt caramel. Quite a bit of clean hops that balances the malts. Reminds me of a dunkel.

Medium frothy beige head. Ruby colour. Aroma is malty, some caramel. flavour is sweet, spicy and with some bitterness, but still like with so many other Swedish budget beers there is a funny metallic aftertaste. mouthfeel and carbonation is a bit flat. Drinkable but not very enjoyable.

Can (BB 06/2008)
Amber color, small but steady and creamy off-white head, some lace. Dark malty aroma with caramel and ash. Sweetish, toffeish flavor with metallic notes, also some cardboard. Crisp carbonation, short aftertaste. Quite typical Swedish Christmas vienna ... no suprises here. Bland, uninspiring.
