Tap @ the brewpub as "Munkens Ale".
Pours hazy orange-brown with a medium, staying, off-white head. Powerful spicy aroma with berries, coriander, cinnamon and cardemum. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour has weak metallic notes, light alcohol, sweet malts and a bit too much spiciness.

Bottle (Børglum Kloster Munkens Ale). Hazy orange with a small lasting beige head. Aroma: Very spicy with coriander and cardamom. Fruit, sweetness and some hops. Taste: Yeast, spices, and a little strange hop-taste. Seems a little unbalanced.

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
[ as Børglum Kloster Munkens Ale ]. Unclear medium amber orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to light heavy spicy, cardamom. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, finish is spicy - peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is first very lively - fizzy but after some miniuts is gets flat. (110808)

Bottle Børglum Kloster Munke Ale. Amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of malts, metallic citrus, yeast and spices. I find it a bit unbalanced with the spice ’kardemommefrø’ which makes the beer taste unbalanced and strange.
