500 ml bottle, at the Dalane Brygghus restaurant in Egersund. ABV is 6.3%. Includes some peat smoked malts. Some sediment in the bottle. Black colour, big tan head - good looking. Aroma of liquorice, chocolate and coffee. Roasty flavour with notes of peat smoke, English liquorice, tar and coffee. Good stuff!

Jul 24, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown almost black body with a medium quite fast dissapearing tan head. Mostly roasted aroma with some sweetness, tobacco and cocoa. Roasty and smoky flavour with light chocolate notes, caramel, liqorice and peat. Medium bodied.

May 6, 2009 Bottle. A strong aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, medium strong. The head is small and brown with a short duration. The body is black. A nice taste of malt and milk- and bitter chocolate. The body is very creamy without much carbonation and a medium strong body. A nice Stout.

Mar 29, 2009 Flaske: Kulsort øl med et meget lille skumhoved. Lidt mere skum og det havde trukket op. Let karbonering i en meget behagelig mundfylde der gør at den meget brændte smag ikke bliver for meget. Virkelig fin stout og generelt en gang rigtig gode øl fra Søgaard heroppe i det nordlige Danmark.

Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, dark chocolate, brown sugar, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081023]

Dec 5, 2008 50cl botttle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Pours pitch black with nearly no head or lacings. Nose is sweet of malts, roast, coffee & smoke. Medium & smooth palate with a low carbonation. Taste is roasted malts, coffee, liquorice. As the beer warms up the smoke becomes more anonymous & chocolate sneaks out to play! OK

Oct 7, 2008 50 cl bottle at Skallerup Klit. Black color with a lovely brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and also hints of smoke. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, bitterness and fine sweetness, also some smoke. Nice!
