Nov 21, 2008 Bottled. A unclear dark amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and herbs. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and wood as well as light notes of whiskey.

Sep 25, 2008 Bottled. Ambery brown colour with no head. Aroma is caramel, wood and some mild oaky notes as well as vanilla and some slight alcohol. Flavour is caramel, oak, sweet malts, some fruits, fudge and vanilla. All in a nice balance. Alcohol gives a nice warming touch.

Sep 17, 2008 ++Bottled at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen.++ Muddy brown, no head. Aroma of vanill aand oak. The same vast caramelly malt character as the non barrel aged version, but the oak and vanilla lifts it a bit and gives it more life. Warming salty finish.

Hazy orange with a beige head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, fruits, wood, smoke), moderate hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet, moderate bitter. Full body with lots of alcohol. My rating #1.500.
