The same vast caramelly malt character as the non barrel aged version, but the oak and vanilla lifts it a bit and gives it more life. Warming salty finish. charlotte (1373), Vanløse, Denmark Sep 17, 2008 At EBF 2008.Deep reddish colour with almost no head.Aroma is really vinous and heavy with taste of dry fruits, wood and rosted malt, feels warming and nice, well done beer. stouby (1559), Holbaek, Denmark Sep 15, 2008 Bottle at EBF 2008.
Hazy orange with a beige head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, fruits, wood, smoke), moderate hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet, moderate bitter. Full body with lots of alcohol. My rating #1.500.
