Toasty liquorice aroma with some minty cereal grains. Almost opaque garnet with a thin, white ring. Nutty and smooth flavour like a cask porter minus the toastiness. Not complex. Light to medium body, dry, quaffable with a clean finish.

Oct 13, 2008 (On tap) Slightly hazy reddish brown with an off-white head. Lightly roasted malt in the aroma. Light body, lightly sweet roasted malt. Finishes dry. Not realy much wattle seed to pick up. Just bland. 130908

Oct 8, 2008 EBF2008. It’s black/brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee and licorice. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, licorice, a little fruit and a light, roasted bitterness. It’s charming!

Sep 22, 2008 Sample at EBF Copenhagen. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, hops and fruit.
