Its funny because this cheaper version of a mexican style pale lager is somewhat refreshing. That is, when you are in mexico on a beach, and are trying to get drunk, this one works well...it is slightly refreshing.

12 ounce bottle. Just a waste of calories. Has to be bad if needs some lime.

When I get free beer, I rate bad beer. It just happens. Piss yellow, with nary a head after about 30 seconds. I am between a 1 and a 2 in terms of appearance, as it doesn’t look disgusting, just flavorless. Stale corny smell with a dash of grape. Not a ton of off flavors. Not a ton of anything for that matter. Maybe some faint dusty straw? The body is thin and tepid. But boarders on quenching, if it weren’t slightly sticky. The flavors are hardcore stale corn. A bit of some bitter straw, but I don’t think hops, and maybe some of that grape? The finish is a lingering unclean bitterness. Drink it cold, or don’t drink it at all! Better yet, don’t drink it at all!

I drank this like water when I was in cancun. It was not good but it cost 10 cents.

Pale gold. Metallic aroma. Taste of cold sparkling water with background citrus plus a little bitterness. Poor.

One of the better mexican lagers to enjoy while out in mexico but if in the states there are far too many quality beers to be worrying about having this stuff.

9/22/2007: Pouring Sol is not necessary since it is already in a clear bottle. It is transparent and golden with an average amount of carbonation. This is actually a decent Mexican lager. Neither the arma nor the flavor are repulsive in anyway and they are actually not too bad even though they are both pretty light. Both are mostly pale malty with a touch of sweetness. I would drink this beer again.

12 fl. oz. bottle at friend’s house during the 3rd Annual Poker Party. Thanks Ryan! Rating #478 for this beer...
