Typical Mexican Swill. If you need to put lemon or lime in your beer to make it drinkable just put it away.

Bottle frozen mug and lime , the lime provided more flavor and aroma than the beer itself. Very watery, very light, not really like drinking beer at all. A little sweeter than corona and seems to hold up better than corona as well.

This one is listed on the wrong website! I think www.ratewater.com is better. I can sense some sweetness and some grain. That is all. Flavour is....carbonated water, small small small bitter notes in finish.

Small head, quickly vanishing. High carbonation. Lots of water, a little sugar and lots of water, It’s probably possible to prove the presence of malt and hops if you have a good lab, but with your tongue - no! Worse than Swedish 2% beers.

This is a fairly typical lager from south of the border. Although the watery mouthfeel makes this really only consumable with spicy, authentic Mexican food. I found it does pair very well with carnitas. Grains play a huge role in the aroma and taste. You could do a lot worse with crappy American swill, so this does have a place and time for it.

(04.04.06) 330 mL brown bottle consumed that Jade Garden Restaurant, White Swan Hotel, Guangzhou, China. 4.5% ABV. Poured clear golden yellow with medium white head. Average carbonation. Sweet malt aroma. Starts dry with light malt sweetness and honey flavor. Finished dry with light malt fade. Light to medium bodied. No discernable hop presence. A decent malty lager that goes well with dim sum but nothing particularly memorable.

Bottle. Better than Corona. Not that good, but I’d have to say that with a full meal at a mexican resturant, a nice cold Sol is something that compliments it quite well.

It is weird to give this beer such a high rating, call it nostalgia. This beer is best drank on the beach with a lime, in the middle of the summer during vacation. I think it is a better alternative to corona. I recommend for a vacation but not for home consumption
