Yet another poor Mexican beer. What are they drinking in Mexico? Oh yeah, tequila. No wonder they make crummy beer, they’re drunk on Mezcal.

Bottle, 33cl. Another bad lager from South America. Very clear and pale yellow beer with a medium white head, mostly diminishing. Body is incredibly thin and watery. Aroma is a little hoppy and is probably the best thing in this beer. Very boring although refreshing and thirst quenching.

Ce n’est pas mieux ou pire que la Corona, simplement la même eau jaune ou bière d’été pour ceux qui ont peu de goût.

Clear yellow lager with a small fast-disappearing head. Aroma is clean and hoppy: cereally with a hidden citrusy note. The beer starts attacking the tongue with a fizzy carbonation. After that you can feel a little of the bitter flavor with some sweet hints which are diminished by the watery mouthfeel. Overall a thin and watery beer with little flavor. Corona is slightly better.

Bog standard Mexican / pale larger. No head, pours a dark golden colour. Nothing nose, slightly stale malts. Palate follows the nose well; more mild, boring malts, quite devoid of any flavour character. Pass

For some reason this went down and tasted fine on a hot Christmas day down the Coast. Far better than Corona but not a lot of flavour or action. Overall pretty bland. Seems to be a big push on in the Oz bottle shops to be flogging this at the moment.

After the 13 or 14 they get a lot better. I would agree with everyone else that it is better than Corona and Model Especial. This is the lowest rated by that my beer club has tried, but wasn’t as bad as expected.
