As a lad I’d drink this whilst dancing the night away trying out my luck with the ladies at Northbridge’s many clubs. Easy to down would be an understatement, it had the complexity of a glass of tap water, so I now remember why we drank it in bulk. Since then it had disappeared under the cloak of Corona, to reappear a decade later in time for our summer. Pours a brilliant palest golden straw with a thin, mostly diminishing, soapy white head. Aroma is very subtle, almost non-existent (in this case not a bad thing!), starchy chaff and dried lawn clippings; very clean. Buttery, sweet and pasty thin body on the tongue with spritzy carbonation keeping it crisp and clean in the finish. Very soft lemony sour note towards the back with a lightly plastic flavour and feel developing as it warmed. Really nothing else to it, and in its favour there is nothing to point out that stops it from doing the job of quenching the thirst. That’s all it was good for as it made a refreshing change from Beer!!! (33cL, 23/09/06)

Pours a mellow golden yellow color. Aromas of grains, light hops, and a funky musty smell. Flavor is bland with a weird funk, add a lime to it to kill the funky taste and it is almost drinkable. This is probably the worst mexican lager on the market. Why drink this when you can get Pacifico, Modelo, Tecate, or Dos Equis.

Bottle, at home (030714). Light yellow with a small white creamy head, immediately gone. Aroma light malty. Flavor light sweet and acidic, short duration. Light body, watery, flat carbonated. Forget it!

Golden and boring with a fast, white head. Light malts, light hops, light taste. Grainy and watery. This beer got its name because if you were expecting anything better, you’re S.O.L.

Bottle. Yellow with a white head. Very light in the aroma department. The taste is almost beerlike, but also thin and watery. Sadly I consumed about a keg of this stuff whilst in mexico.

Bottle. Ordered this at a local Mexican joint to put in a Michelada, decided to give it a try on its own first. Typical pale yellow lager look with very little aroma and almost no flavor. Picked up some citrus notes or maybe I just imagined them thinking at the very least it would need a lemon to make it somewhat more appealing. I would not drink on its own unless cornered, beaten, or otherwise forced.
