Mar 22, 2005 Not a bad beer, but hard to differentiate from Corona. Tried it with lemon as oposed to lime. A great summer thirst quencher.

Mar 4, 2005 Bottled. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma of roasted maize. Very watery beer with weak weak taste of malt. Better than Corona Extra though...

Feb 28, 2005 Pretty good for a mexican beer. Way better than jive ass corona and dos equis. It had a bit of a skunk flavor but not too overbearing.

Feb 25, 2005 Once a month I go to a "mixer" gathering of students and faculty at a local establishment, so I drag along my list of beers and find something I haven’t tried before. This happened to be a Happy Hour special for just $1 for the bottle. I asked for a warm glass and no lime. It poured a rather vibrant and deep yellow color for the kind of beer we’re talking about here, with a white ring of head. There wasn’t much in the way of aroma, and the first sip gave me a lollypop fruity sweetness, though not like a malt liquor does. There was nothing offensive--a bar with a high turnover, it wasn’t skunky--and apparently not adjunct laden (though that may be appearances only). Relatively fizzy but in a way that offset the lightly syrupy body. Not bad for what it is, esp. for $1.

Feb 18, 2005 This is one of my favorite beers. How I was introduced to it, can’t recall. I enjoy drinking it. Its really too bad that Corona Extra(hogslop) is more popular. It goes down nice and has a clean finish. The only trouble is keeping them around. I could enjoy this beer almost anytime.
