| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 4/5 | 5/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Head instantly disappears. Completely clear gold/yellow.
Smells like corn, Vegemite, corn flakes (as in the cereal), and there’s also some metallic hint.
Definite cardboard taste, then some sweet corn, then a weak stale bitterness. There’s also some lemon in there somewhere... or is that just the metallic aroma confusing me?
Bit too watery, but carbonation is quite good. Pinball (2860), Allerød, Denmark

noticeable aroma, dusty, cereral, corn, perhaps some bitterhops.
flavor is sweetis, quite alcoholic, and slightly floral. tastes like tequila with lots of water, and perhaps a flower thrown in for good measure.
this is not a good beer. MrAleman (111), Wiltshire, England

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 16, 2009 12oz bottle: apperance is golden brown with quick fading head, aroma skunky with hints of pale malt, flavor bland and very light but no off flavors, not a good beer but could have been much better. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 13, 2009 12 oz bottle. This is my favorite Mexican beer. Poured a clear yellow with a two finger white head. The aroma was grainy, with a bit of corn. The flavor was sweet grains with a grassy finish. wheresthepath (547), Buckinghamshire, England
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Mar 12, 2009 [330ml bottle at Revolutions, Reading] Managed to avoid getting the obligatory wedge of lime in it, so I could actually taste the beer, even though my gut feel said this was a bad idea. Pours the usual pale gold with a moderate foamy white head, moderate carbonation. As bland as you’d expect - what flavour there is is dominated by sickly sweet candy-sguar and sweetcorn. Some nasty metallics lurking in the background too. I can see why it’s served with the lime. SImply ghastly. ChainGangGuy (2568), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clear, bronze-colored body with a tall, white head.
Smell: Grainy, cheap malts with a light waft of skunk and more than a whiff of yellow corn and chemical additives.
Taste: Substandard, stale, grainy light pale malts with a light sweetness. Icky chemical soaked corn. Light hop bitterness. Finishes dry.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Dreadful and quite sol-crushing. Some of these mass-produced lagers can be quite serviceable, some just bland and forgettable, and some are downright awful. Sadly, Sol is one of those awful, awful lagers.
