The Aroma is the winner here. Great fresh hop additions make the nose very friendly to hop heads...Appearance has a nice amber hue...Pretty to look at and smell. The taste is a bit one dimensional bitter. Palate leaves a lingering astringent hop bitter. For many hop heads this is a great beer. I enjoy it but overall it is not my particular favorite style or taste. Please note that the brewer is more passionate to the german style than hopped up American IPA...In the future I think we’ll see his german beers get more refined and win some praise in the press.

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 25/09/2009 Big fruit aroma. Mid brown coloured sour and slightly medicinal tasting with a little dryness in a crisp finish.

IMPERIAL Pale Ale. Amber color with hoppy aroma and a distinguished malt body that’s somewhat uncommon to "IPA" style beers. Sweet start on the tongue of caramel and citrus while there’s a light hop character giving off a subtle piney finish. The aroma stays with you until the end.

Served on cask at the brewhouse. Translucent orange/amber with a lacing, sticky beige head. Sweet, candy like aroma with oranges, pine and grapefruit. Flavor is sweet caramel malts, oranges, pine, flowers. Sweet, bitter finish. Very nice.
