The nose is really quite uncanny in it’s similarity to a real bar of white chocolate. There’s a bit of yeastiness and a pale maltiness. The flavor up front is more like a Golden Ale than anything, slight maltiness and a light hoppiness. The late finish really brings out the chocolate flavor though. The quality of the chocolate was similar to those Dove candy bars, where there’s that little bit of extra milky creaminess. Light bodied with light fizzy carbonation. Overall, a pretty interesting experiment if nothing else! Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA

pours a hazy blonde color with a small white head which leaves a bit of spotty lacing. i get a lot of chocolate in the aroma. not white so much, but a lot of rich buttery chocolate along with nuttiness, fresh vanilla bean, grassy/skunky/noble hops and a blast of whole roasted coffee beans. the flavor is the same. a let down of sorts given the potency of the aroma. the nuttiness develops into distinct hazlenuts while the coffee and chocolate linger long into the aftertaste. medium to full bodied with a bunch of carbonation. insanely creamy butter-like mouth feel... i’m liking this one. interesting and highly quaffable.... Arrives from the tap with a lightly hazy, light gold color and is topped by a thin pale head. The nose mostly has beer-like notes to it with a light, sweet, white-chocolate note to it that provides more a perceived sweetness in the aroma than anything.
The taste is much like a clean, simple blond beer with white chocolate added. Very light hop character and a light malt character make this simplistic and quaffable. It has quite a light mouthfeel, though I wouldn’t say it was watery. The white-chocolate adds a sort of perfume-like note as well as a touch of vanilla notes. Not bad, but not really my cup of tea, this might have been really interesting if the base beer was more interesting (I am imagining a thick, white chocolate infused stout). Pours a semi-hazy honey gold with minimal white head. Nose is vanilla, coffee and hazelnut. Palate is hazelnut upfront with cocoa butter and vanilla in the finish. Pretty sweet brew that would be good for a nightcap. Interesting beer – thanks for sharing Dave. rustychiles (1058), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Thanks Dave for bringing this one.
Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma of Malt, hops, vanilla and white chocolate. Flavor is much the same, the white chocolate and vanilla bean are very notable and this beer is unlike any other beer I have ever rated before. Not sure if it’s my favorite style, but it is a really well done attempt at a white chocolate beer. BOLTZ7555 (1113), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2008 10 karat gold with only a white ring for a head and little carbonation. Man, did that head hang on for dear life...never leaving the beer completely. The nose: undoubtedly the best feature of this one. Pure vanilla extract, buttermilk biscuit, and obvious white chocolate. A more lively beer might have awoke the taste buds. Unique and interesting. GreatLibations (1454), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 16, 2008 Updated: May 17, 2008This brew is a masterpiece. Pours with a pale almost creamy yellow color throwing off a shortlived spritzy froth. Minimal lacing with beachball sized spattering. Beautiful aromas of fresh cocoa and a bit of coffee essence. Smells like brownies. Light to medium nectar with lively carbonation that turns to CREAM on the palate. Nice! This brew is not sweet at all with huge flavors of brownies and coffee although on the lean side. The finish is bittered mildly and is dry with lingering chocolate biscuit essence. I would agree with the commercial description. Well done!
