(draft) Light amber body, medium head. Aroma is mildly sweet and malty. Taste is nicely even -- pleasing maltiness that finishes slightly spicy hoppy. Very good accessible beer.

Light amber color with an okay head... the hopping makes this drink. It’s present, but not overbearing. "Clean." The aroma promised a better bitter hop taste than the flavor delivered, but it remains a pleasurable brew that one can enjoy all night long.

Medium gold color, small head. Rich, smooth, sweet malts. Subtle hops. Mouthfeel is round and full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Nice beer.

From Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. Pours a rich amber with a medium and foamy off-white head. Thin lacing and decent retention. Aroma is spicy (cinnamon is my guess) with a caramel undercurrent. Flavor is fairly sweet malt and caramel. Finish is hoppy enough to keep it from being too sticky-sweet. A little off-balance but not too shabby.

Re-Rate 05/27/02: Nice slightly cloudy amber color, decent beige head and lace. Nose is a bit floral, maybe pop corn buttery, and sweet. Front is malt and sweet, the top light, the finish is nicely hopped, dry, moderately carbonated, and a quite drinkable beer.

This is a plain workhorse amber ale. It is malty with just a hint of bitterness in the finish. There is a light hop flavor as well that has a citrus quality to it. Probably a good starter beer from this brewery if you want more flavor go for the Burning Bird Pale ale, which is awesome.

This had a nice little hop bite to it, wrapped up in a malty caramel flavor and a general sweet streak down the middle. Finished very dry - so dry that i want another one! Nice deep gold color, big fluffy head and excellent lacing. thanks for sharing, rockinout!

This beer had a nice, light amber color with a sweet, subtle hoppy nose. The predominate flavor is sweet, with the malts coming through stronly. I got a little hop flavor in the finish, but not enough to balance this beer well.
