| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Courtesy of redlight. Pours a ruddy amber with a slight tan head which quickly fades to nothing. Toffee and butterscotch overwhelm the nose, hard to pick up anything else. Butterscotch and citrus and pine hops, very sweet and bitter end. A little drying alcohol evident in the finish, otherwise med to low carbonation. Seems like there is some diacetyl here, a little too sweet. jamesnsandy (1), Lonsdale, Minnesota, USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2008 Got this from the Micheal Jackson beer club.Pours kind of orangey brown.Sweet and fruity aroma.Sweet fruity flavor tastes like strawberries and carmel. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Shared this with a friend awhile back. I am glad I did, because I do not think I could have made it through it all by myself. First thing I notice is the low amount of carbonation, but has some ripe fruitiness and a high level of malty sweetness, and a bit of vanilla that sticks around leading into a sticky mouthfeel. Could be a little more hoppy to add some much needed bitterness in the finish.
