Medium copper in color and with a suprisingly crisp finish, this beer is meant to be savored like a fine cognac.

A lot of caramel in the aroma, but also with dark fruit. The beer is copper brown. Flavor of caramel, but it has a weird finish perhaps a bit of acidly.

(Bottle 100 cl) Courtesy of FlacoAlto. Pours a very cloudy orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Vinous port aroma with a light tartness. Quite full-bodied with sweet caramel and overripe fruit. Low carbonation though and a very subdued bitterness. 260708

Bottled - tasted blind An amber veer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also an acidic edge. The flavor old with notes of over ripe fruit and oxidation, and the mouthfeel is sticky.

From bottle #29 at sk8vikings American blind tasting. Pours hazy orange to amber with lacing off-white head. Spiced and dry woody aroma. Flavour is dry malty towards dense fruity and malty. Lingering malty and fruity into the finish. Light acidic and bitter finish. Smooth yet powerful.

#29 Bottle [Sk8viking great American blind tasting] Off-white bubbly small head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Hazy amber color with particles in flow. Aroma of fruit, grain, caramel, wood and vanilla. Over the palate came vinous and mild hoppy notes. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and dry thick alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor with a hint of sour notes. Lingering bitter finish. 7 / 3 / 7 / 3 / 15 = 3.5

This poured an amber color with a moderate white head. The aroma contains some toffee, brown sugar, caramel, and raisins. The flavor is quite sweet and warming with the alcohol showing through. A lot of toffee showing in the flavor along with molasses and dark fruits. Overall this one was quite in the English mold, but it was a pretty good one!
