Bottle [Sk8viking great American blind tasting] Off-white bubbly small head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Hazy amber color with particles in flow. Aroma of fruit, grain, caramel, wood and vanilla. Over the palate came vinous and mild hoppy notes. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and dry thick alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor with a hint of sour notes. Lingering bitter finish. 7 / 3 / 7 / 3 / 15 = 3.5

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2008 This poured an amber color with a moderate white head. The aroma contains some toffee, brown sugar, caramel, and raisins. The flavor is quite sweet and warming with the alcohol showing through. A lot of toffee showing in the flavor along with molasses and dark fruits. Overall this one was quite in the English mold, but it was a pretty good one!
