Draught Budapest, Hungary. Much in the same league as Dreher. Easy drinking Hungarian pale lager. Probably a bit less fragrant as the Dreher though.

l0.5 l can. Pale golden color, average carbonation, medium head which quickly collapse. Taste is light-sweet (it remains on the lips), "metallic" and sharp. Aroma’s a malt-sweet and hoppy mixture. Light body, thin and watery feel. Finish is bitter. Ok in the summer or in company, but (for me) nothing really exciting for the tasteing senses.

Bottle green, 500 ml, rated in Bogacs, Hungary.
Appearance: Pours pale golden, clear but with micro sediments floating in the body texture, body is moderately carbonated, head is white, foamy to frothy, initially medium, slowly decreasing to small or practically non-existant, there is a nice lacing.
Aroma: Nice aroma of herbal hops, moderately malty base, notes of spicyness from hops and gently dusty scents, notes of corn adjunct mixed with barley malt but not in high percentage, quite gentle but positive and inviting.
Flavour: Front is rather soft, light bodied and highly carbonated in mouth, very mineral, kind of flat, nice hoppy aromatic spicy-herbal but too gentle nose making it still a Pale Lager, not to mention gentle corn adjuncts, salty, lightly mineral, very dusty, sour from corn, simple, non-impressive and with short finish.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is medium to high, finish feel is sour, mineral, flat, non-interesting, dusty, like after drinking highly carbonated water.

Pale yellow with small white head. Some malts and hoppy aroma, but metallic as well. Watery flavour and a thin body. Low carbonation, boring.

Brilliant Clear. Amber/Straw colour with a big white head. The aroma is a mix of metal and hints of malt. The flavor is malty with a short sharp edge of bitter hops and then a smooth long lasting sweet taste of malt. The body is light to medium-light. Overall a pretty good interpetation of the European Lager.
