May 6, 2006 This beer is the embodiment of comfort and security. the aroma of coffee and mint with flirt of burbon. the guy who said "Peppermint schnapps...aroma" clearly has his head up his butt. the flavor is that of dark roasted coffee and fresh dark chocolate with a bit of Bourbon all wrapped in christmas mint.

Sep 30, 2008 Autumn Brew Review 2008. Very happy to find that this was coming out! Black color with a very thin head. Big mint aroma. Bombastic mint taste. A light chocolate and coffee flavor, rounded out with roasted malt. The bourbon doesn’t scream out, but I did pick up some vanilla. The mint almost turns to spearmint towards the finish. Excellent!

Sep 26, 2005 SUPERIOR FALLFEST: Black Coloring with Sandy Head. Wonderful Complex Aroma...of Chocolate, Sweet Malt, Mint with a Light Coffee and Bourbon Whiskey Notes Mixing In and Out. Roasted Coffee Notes Balancing out Sweet Malt - Chocolate and Mint Notes Most Prominant with a Slight Whiskey Background.. Overall, the Bourbon Aging Seems to Push Out the Chocolate Mint Flavors to Make it Really Creamy, Rich Chocolate/Minty Brew That’s Quite Enjoyable!

Oct 8, 2007 Draft ABR 07. One of the biggest highlights of the festival, nicely done badger. It was like a nicely done bourbon stout, with a Andes mint dropped in it. Enough said! The chocolate mint and vanilla worked superb together.

Oct 5, 2007 Sampled at ABR07. I have to say, these guys ruined my day. All the rare, one-off beers and I have the best one within 20 minutes of walking in. This thinkg was delicious. Superbly well done coffee flavor that doesn’t bite the stomach. Intense mint Aroma and flavor with a bit of chocolate hanging around. Thick body. Mint flavor lingered quite a while.

Feb 12, 2007 10th Annual Mid*Winter Brewfest. Pours to a dark brown/black body with a creamy light brown head. The aroma is like a light vanilla infused York peppermint patty. The flavor is also full of the menthol but is quite balanced by the chocolate and lightly changed by the vanilla from the bourbon barrel. It starts off mellow and accelerates into a menthol monster. The palate is refreshing and vibrant. Quite different and definitely nice.

May 25, 2006 On tap at Deepwater Grille in Ashland. Pours dark black with thick off-white head. Aroma of bourbon, coffee, mint and sweet malt. Every flavor is apparent in the taste and all at different times. Great.
