Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Sep 9, 2007 On draught at the brewpub in Ashland, Wisconsin. Pours a clear light blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that laves behind no lacing or ring. Aroma of light bready malt with a such of citrus zest and fruity pears. Taste is light bodied, lightly carbonated with a watery bread flavor. Finish is light, crisp, clean cut with no bitter aftertaste. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA Jan 28, 2007 Pours a hazy gold, topped by half an inch of white foam. Fairly decent head retention and lacing. Soft sweet and floral aroma.
Interesting blend of dry grainy malt with a little bit of sweetness. An herbal or floral hop presence for balance (not much was needed) and a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Lightish body, moderately carbonated. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA Feb 11, 2006 Again on tap at Old Hayward Brewpub. Pours a golden yellow with creamier white head. Little aroma - grains and some corn. Flavor is very thin - though not watery... which makes for an interesting, not in a good way, combination. Finishes clean - best saved for the Miller or Bud fan in your crew. CharlesDarwin (1823), Point Judith, Rhode Island, USA Aug 17, 2005 Pours like thin apple juice. Stale macrobrewed smell (not an aroma), like sticky dried beer on the floor of the bleachers at a hockey arena. Flavor is so plain, I can’t describe it. Maybe some light dusty malt and a touch of oyster crackers. Not very drinkable. It makes you feel like you’ve been sucking warm Keystone Light all day, even though this is your first beer. hotdogs (13), chicago, Illinois, USA May 26, 2005 poured with a soda pop style head. aroma is quite spicy, quince, sort of a mincemeat smell, a little vinous (a little long on the shelf?) thin mouthfeel, cleansing bitterness, fairly sweet, and yes that awesome cornness. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA Apr 26, 2005 On tap at the brewery. A nice frothy head over a hazy straw beer. White lace. Yeast bread dough aroma. Has that distinctive corn beer flavor, like a Spotted Cow. I think they call this a farmstead beer, I like the style. Full flavor for a lighter bodied beer.
