GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Sep 5, 2009 GTMW 2009. Poured a clear light orange color with a white head. Smelled of fresh green-colored peppers, wet stone, and black pepper. Light to medium bodied with a pleasant spicy pepper burn on the tongue. Nice fresh chili pepper flavor supported by a caramel/pale malt backbone. I like a well done pepper beer. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA Nov 30, 2008 On tap - Pours deep copper with minimal head. Peppery aroma with caramel and chili spice. Taste to match with a spiciness. Definitely balanced for a spicy beer. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Feb 24, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in downtown Ashland, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin white ring and some film top. Aroma of peppered caramel malt, definitely Serreano peppers, heavy cloves and a touch of sweet apples. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation but a spicy pepper that over-powers all other flavors. Finish is slightly metallic, has a long lingering hot sauce spiciness with a hint of Ivory soap. Good lord, is this beer spicy hot, but not as over the top like Cave Creek Chili beer. Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA Jan 10, 2008 had at the brewery with incutrav. as he said, the server said it was contract brewed. Either way, It’s a fire ball of peps.

I was a huge fan. fairly flat otherwise virtually no head but it was really tasty.! only it felt like your stomach had a burnt hole in it! incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA Dec 30, 2007 Holy crap, this is hottest f’in brew on the planet. Smell is of fresh black pepper and not much else. First sip was smooth pale ale going down, then a huge lingering burn on the lips, throat and stomach. Not for everyone, but i was a big fan, as i like hot food. Brewer claimed that the Hells Kitchen goes threw a full keg of this per day, so people must be fans up there. Purchased 3 growlers of this at the brewery for good measure and made some chili with it thats freaking tasty.
