Hazy dark yellow pour with a thick, bubbly white head, not too much nose to speak of but the beer is laced with a berry sweetness, sassafrass and ginger. Interesting! | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 2, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color. head was two fingers high and white. There wasn’t much lace on the glass at the end. Smelled of nutmeg and vanilla ice cream. Modest malty sweetness on the tongue. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a lingering graham cracker note at the end. Interesting. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2007 A light / medium slightly hazy gold with a thin white head. This is the oddest smelling beer I think I have ever sniffed on. Maybe some clove, spiced tea, nutmeg or cinnamon?? It’s not bad. Just strange. Flavor is clove, pepper, light malts and hops, pumpkin spice. Very strange in a good sort of way. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2007 Bottle. Pours light cloudy gold with plenty of chunks. Fairly aggressive pour only yields one finger head that disappears quickly. I wasn’t expecting the chunks, but here we go... Odd nose. Quite herbal: chamomile, lavender, black tea, cinnamon. Creamy on the palate. Flavor starts herbal and creamy leading to a mild hop bite and the quickly fades. I’ll give a provisional rating of 13 but it could go up or down on further ratings. Liked the nose but the rest... Skyview (4076), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2007 Picked up a single bottle from Cellars Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a cloudy pale golden yellow brew, very nice fizzy white foam. fast dissolving to a fine film and little lacing. Strange aroms of yeast, champagne, and citrus peel. Taste is just as different. Very light and carbonated on the tongue, fairly smooth with citrus flavor. The "herbal" may be some spice, but hard to figure this one out. Palate is thin and citrus finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2006 Super floral, fragarant. Quite a herb/spice mix with cardimen the most pronounced. Perhaps thyme, rosemary. Tiny bits of pepper/spice at the bottom of bottle /glass. The cream aspect smooths and balance herbs. Not too sweet. Unique. Enjoyable change of pace.
