I had my apprehensions at first, but what the hell. Color is a basic amber gold with a mild greasy head. the spice goes right to your head and sticks hard. The taste is mild and creamy with a lavender finish that oddly enough, is rather good. The mouthfeel is weird the way the spice plays right with the carbonation. All in all not a bad beer to try. It’s kind of girl-ish with the packaging, but that’s never prevented me from drinking a beer.

Nice herbal nose on this pale yellow pour.Sweat herbs over a pronounced ale taste. Much better than I remember.

Bottle. Ginger ale-like aroma with a lemony, strawberry bent. Looks like ginger ale, too. Thin, zippy ginger ale flavor with lime rind bitterness. Very refreshing. I happen to be pretty thirsty right now so I know that’s affecting my rating, but I’ll look at it as if I got lucky in picking out a beer to rate tonight.

Found this bottled at the Cashwise in Duluth, Minnesota. Hazy dark yellow pour with a thick, bubbly white head, not too much nose to speak of but the beer is laced with a berry sweetness, sassafrass and ginger. Interesting!

12 oz bottle, purchased at Woodmans on Gammon Road, Madison (Oct 05). Pours a very clear and pleasing light gold, moderate lasting smooth white head...subtle herbal/grainy nose is never overpowering but potent enough to waft across the room after I set the bottle down for a bit, hints of rosemary, thyme and white pepper...body is quite clean, fairly sweet initially but dry herbal qualities do show up briefly at midpalate, only to disappear quickly in the honey-sweet, creamy smooth finish. Quite nice if you take your time with it; doesn’t really make an impact without some work.

Super floral, fragarant. Quite a herb/spice mix with cardimen the most pronounced. Perhaps thyme, rosemary. Tiny bits of pepper/spice at the bottom of bottle /glass. The cream aspect smooths and balance herbs. Not too sweet. Unique. Enjoyable change of pace.

Cloudy, even murky appearance, dull yellow hue, very nice cap of milky white foam. Unusual aroma, very odd mixture of yeast, cream, and citrus scents, quite a funky affair, not sure how to place this queer duck, ...lemon cream pie, that’s pretty close... How’s it taste, though? Very light on the tongue, fairly smooth, minor hop play, with citrus and cream still at large in the flavor. The "herbal" part of the name I’m trying to figure out... Thin body, short finish, but it goes down with ease...I can pass a few of these past the lips, but after a while it would get annoying, I think.

Color is a pale yellow dilution with a thin white head that faded fast, leaves no lace. Smell is citrusy light and fresh with a wheat backing, but very soft. Taste is lightly crisp and smoothing with a subtle fruit of citrus, apples and wheat stand out mostly. Oats and malt barely detectable in the back. Lightly textured in smooth light medium bodyness, somewhat creamy as well but a bit uneven. Lighter fare, could be enjoyable for those who don't want too much taste.
