Commercial Description:
This golden beer is refreshing, boldly crisp, full bodied, yet not overwhelmingly bitter. Locally harvested honey adds that delicate touch of sweetness that balances very nicely with newly developed aroma hops. This product is fermented with a classic Pilsner style yeast and allowed to lager several weeks before it is packaged.

Bottle. Pours hazy burnt orange. Nose of honey, pilsener malt and spice. Creamy on the palate. Pils sharpness fades to a hint of sweet honey. Unspectacular.

Picked up a few bottles from Trigs in Wausau. This brew pours a hazy golden color with a small lwhite frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of honey, nuts, pine hops, and citrus The taste has a tart bitter with some acidic. Finish is a little fruity then dry. Not much in honey taste compared to most other honey pilsners I’ve tried, but palatable.

Citrus and honey on the nose of this light honey colored brew. Macrobeer pills taste with honey remaining. Skunky and leaves a metallic taste in my mouth.

Pours a clear yellow golden with a small white head. Sweet candy like nose with hints of biscuity bready aroma. Nice complicated mouthfeel with a great biscuity flavor followed by a nice soft hoppy finish. A little too sweet for me, but nice nonetheless.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color. Head was thick, foamy, and white with good retention and lacing. Smells of light malty caramel and cereal grain. Not much hop aroma. Dry on the tongue. Flavor is dominated by modest sprucy hops with some malty grain in the background. Not bad.

Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with small white head. Aroma is light malt, corn, mild fruit. The flavor is of sweet malts and corn. Maybe a little hint of honey. Light hops and citrus. Pretty average but nothing great.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with no bottled/freshness date. Made a decent appearance, poured a clear pilsener golden with foamy white head that settled into a fine lacing, minimal amount of sticking, medium carbonation. Had a honey and biscuit malt nose with floral hints at the fringes. A malty crisp, smooth light bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Honey with a subtle touch of fruitiness taste along with a balancing powdered biscuit maltiness, a light floral touch and dry honey and biscuity finish. Normally I’m not a fan of honey pilseners, they generally lack a bracing malt crispiness, but this honey pils from South Shore actually wasn’t that bad, tasty and drinkable.

Wheat-hazed golden with a small white head that lasts in my svelte Svyturys pilsner glass. Aroma starts with a harsh, grassy sourness, but fresh honey follows on lagered haunches with cereal grains right behind. Flavor holds sweetnes on top of roasty grains in a creamy body.
