Commercial Description:
This golden beer is refreshing, boldly crisp, full bodied, yet not overwhelmingly bitter. Locally harvested honey adds that delicate touch of sweetness that balances very nicely with newly developed aroma hops. This product is fermented with a classic Pilsner style yeast and allowed to lager several weeks before it is packaged.

Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a very large sized (4.5 finger) with head. Aromas of soapy honey. Tastes of honey with very light grain. Light honey sweetness. Lively, highly carbonated and thin body that leaves with a crisp finish.

Pils? I think not. Shouldn’t it have at least one characteristic of the style? It had an aroma of dried out honeycombs, a nasty sweetness. The flavor was disagreeable, tart and metallic. No hop aroma, no hop bitterness... NO PILSENER!

Straw color with a nice lightly whipped egg white head. Light dry honey and chablis aroma. Malt sweetness predominates. Very well done beer. No real fault evident. Nice balancing hops bitterness and honey driness. Very nice effort for this style.

12 oz bottle. Hazy light amber-gold with a small lasting snowy cap...fresh, sparkling lemony-grassy nose, very clean...light honey sweetness dominates the front, bitter grasses take over late, something of a 7UP quality, nice body with a juicier finish than usual, fairly high carbonation. This bottle was at least 3 months old and was still quite good; I expect it would be top-notch when absolutely fresh.

The color is a light gold with cloudiness. It looks like a hefe. Slightly sour aroma with a note of wheat and some bread. The taste is full bodied. It is wheat bread with notes of some kind of orange hard candy. I am having trouble picking out the honey notes. It is a little sweet, though. It has a dry finish like a cider.

Bottle: Hazy golden hue with a small but lasting frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of honey nut cereal, aromatic and slightly piney hops, buttered wheat toast, and a twangy orange zest. The taste is shockingly tart and acidic, the honey is buried beneath the hops and twangy yeast. Fruity a bit with a dry and snappy finish. The feel is lively and metallic. This brew is hardly sweey at all, in fact I was disappointed by the lack of honey in the flavor. Still quite quaffable and a brew your non-geek freinds may like.

Picked up a few bottles from Trigs in Wausau. This brew pours a hazy golden color with a small lwhite frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of honey, nuts, pine hops, and citrus The taste has a tart bitter with some acidic. Finish is a little fruity then dry. Not much in honey taste compared to most other honey pilsners I’ve tried, but palatable.

Bottle thanks to Skyview. Poured hazy medium golden with a short cap of white head that stuck around for a while. Aroma picked up sweet pale malts with underlying lemon and herbal accents.. just the faintest hint of honeysuckle at the very end as it warmed up. The flavor was similarly enjoyable, sporting biscuit and honey sweetness at the core, with herbal and grassy bitterness around the tongue and the sides of the mouth.. finish left a smack of honey that was rather enjoyable along with a pinch of lemon zest. Light-bodied and creamy across the middle with a crisp finish.. nice carbonation to it. This was an solid brew.
