Commercial Description:
This golden beer is refreshing, boldly crisp, full bodied, yet not overwhelmingly bitter. Locally harvested honey adds that delicate touch of sweetness that balances very nicely with newly developed aroma hops. This product is fermented with a classic Pilsner style yeast and allowed to lager several weeks before it is packaged.

Straw color with a nice lightly whipped egg white head. Light dry honey and chablis aroma. Malt sweetness predominates. Very well done beer. No real fault evident. Nice balancing hops bitterness and honey driness. Very nice effort for this style.

Yellowish color and good lacing. Has a slightly sweet bready smell. The honey gives it a lightly sweet taste. Goes down very easy. Good stuff.

Ashland calls back to mind a trip up that way where Sean (hennes) grew enthusiastic over whitefish livers and tried to hijack a ferry late one too many beers night. This beer isn’t as crazy as all that, but it does have more flavorful touches to it than your run of the mill pils, a nice herbal hoppiness (That’s saying alot from me)with its strongclean malt.

12 oz bottle. Hazy light amber-gold with a small lasting snowy cap...fresh, sparkling lemony-grassy nose, very clean...light honey sweetness dominates the front, bitter grasses take over late, something of a 7UP quality, nice body with a juicier finish than usual, fairly high carbonation. This bottle was at least 3 months old and was still quite good; I expect it would be top-notch when absolutely fresh.

bottle. pours a light gold with a thick white head, strong honey(i’d hope so) aroma. sweet hoppy taste. flat acidic finish that leaves a bitter taste on the tongue. one of the better pils i’ve had. and the cubs have been scoring since i opened the bottle, so it’s got that going for it too.

Color is a solid yellow with a thin white head with no lace. Smell is light of malts, wheat, and honey, somewhat sweetish. Taste is a nice mellow, crisp, yet refreshing and easy bitterness with a sweet honey flavor. There's a tiny noticeable hop and malt in there. Solid mellowing smooth close to medium body with good creamyness. A soild pilsner styled offering and a local fav. Quite a good quencher for summer.

Bottle: Pale yellow, almost white, sudsy white head, very large, decent retention, copious carbonation, sticky lacing.   Nearly wit-bier like.   Sweet grassy nose, slight citrus hint.   Zesty mouthfeel, minor tang, subtle malts, grassy.   Much fuller than your average pilsener.   Slight straw like bitterness on the finish.   Different, but still tasty.   Thanks Matt D!

bottle-purchased at Woodmans in Madison, WI-pours a rich yellow hue with small white head. Sweet, lemon, honey, grassy aroma-nice! flavors are crisp, sweet, grassy and good pils malt backbone. Full flavors and a good body for this style. I would drink alot of this if i lived in this area. Solid offering from a small northern WI brewery!
