South Shore Irish Stout

On nitro pour at the brewpub in Ashland, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown colored brew with a creamy beige head that just doesn’t go away. Aroma of Irish coffee with chocolate and toasted dark malt, honey and a touch of clove. Taste is silky smooth, creamy with flavors of toasted dark malt, coffee, some vanilla and some chocolate. Finish is smooth with slight metallic aftertaste with a touch of cardboard and chocolate. A very interesting Irish stout that is more Irish coffee than an irish stout.
