Commercial Description:
Don't be intimidated by the rich walnut color. This beer is really not heavy at all. It is very smooth with no bitterness, and has a real warming, nut-like flavor and aroma. Brewed to match a traditional English mild, it has carbonation levels that are more American. Our "flagship" brew, it's a very social drink and goes great with all types of food.

Bottle from Cellars Roseville. Nice rich brown color. Decent amount of sweet malt and a hint of nutty sweetness. Finishes clean. Not too bad.

Bottle shared with skyview and scluffman. Nice light brown color with no head. Malty nose with plenty of nut. Flavor was malty with very little nutty flavor. Watery finish.

Picked up a few bottles from Trigs in Wausau. Pours a light caramel amber with a small head and little lacing. The aroma has scent of caramel and pale malts, hazelnut, and phenols. The taste has a nutty sweetness of dark barley malt, with light bitters at the finish.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear amber color. Head was thin and light tan. Smelled of light malty molasses and a whiff of brown sugar. Malt dominated flavor, mostly molasses, with light grassy hops. Dry on the tongue. Not bad.

Pours a darkish slightly hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is quite mild but pretty good. Served it too cold . As it warms the aroma is much better. Candied malts, just a hint of hop sourness. Very easy drinker. Nice and smooth with an all around nice flavor.

Pours a nice hazy dark burnt amber color with a decent white head. Nice sweet nose with hints of caramel, toffee, candi sugar and a slight roasted nuttiness. Nice flavor to it, slightly watery, but hints of toffee, and other malt. Not quite as nutty and roasty as I would like, but nice nonetheless.

12oz bottle. Aroma: Light caramel and some toasted malt. Appearance: More of a dark amber than a true brown color. Light beige head was full and foamy with good retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Caramel, toasted nuts, floral hops, and a bit of grass into the finish. Low bitterness. Light sweetness lingers past the finish. Palate: Light mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Overall: Mediocre. Lacking any of the qualities that makes a nice brown ale.
