Commercial Description:
Don't be intimidated by the rich walnut color. This beer is really not heavy at all. It is very smooth with no bitterness, and has a real warming, nut-like flavor and aroma. Brewed to match a traditional English mild, it has carbonation levels that are more American. Our "flagship" brew, it's a very social drink and goes great with all types of food.

Bottle. Poured a hazy chestnut brown with a short cap of off-white head. Mild nuttiness, toffee, and caramel find the nose... albeit in small doses. Light, slick mouthfeel that comes together a little better at the finish. Flavor picked up the aroma notes.. but also an overbearing floral/veggie hop presence... seemed to be lacking of balance. Finish was dry and nutty, with some pleasant smooth caramel. Not necessarily good, but was easy-drinkin’.

Pretty decent brown with it’s prominent nutty flavor and sweet caramel malt, undercut by a lightly floral hopping. Very repeatable.

This had an explosive head for no apparent reason and kinda pissed me off. The head settles soapy & rocky above a brownish/copper body with a slight haze. Aroma held a touch of brown sugar to a dry background of peanut shells with light apple and a floral note. Smooth, malted flavor was a little fruity with a bit of smoky bitterness to end.

Bottle conditioned. Hazy brown. Sweet aroma. Sweet and malty with a tree bark flavor and a flat finish with hints of cardboard.

Bottle. Pours a medium cloudy brown with a good size foamy head. Aromas of malt and nuts but has a bit of a sour note to it. Tastes better than it smells. A descent brown.

A drinkable session beer, light brown with a creamy beige head, this comes across much like a mild ale. It’s got a decent nutty malt aroma and flavor with just a bit of herbal hopping in the finish. Not bad.

Poured a medium and cloudy brownish color with a large sized (3.5 finger) off white head. Aromas of cardboard, wet mud with some burnt malts. Tastes of nuts, caramel and some toffee. Tasted better than that awful aroma. Thin body.
