Aroma is roasty with a little sweetness. Flavor is much the same. Finish is slightly bitter. Just not much too write about. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 17, 2004 At the GHBF: Light caramel hue with a small head and little lace, some floaties. The aroma has notes of caramel and pale malts, aromatic hops, hazelnut, pipe tobacco (cavendish), and surprising phenols. The taste is acidic and sour starting followed by a nutty sweetness. Light bitters on the finish. The feel is bready and chalky, not much depth of palate. Arggh, another so-so brown ale. You can line up 90% of the style and never tell them apart.
