Pours a rich caramel brown with an off white head that is not very pronounced and dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is of roasted nut and almost a new shoes smell to it...kinda strange. Lots of malt aromas as well and just a touch of hop presence. Flavor is very nutty and sweet. There is a nice malt backbone on this beer with not much hop bitterness to talk about. Very flavorful. One thing, it almost seem s a little thin in the mouthfeel. I could and would drink this again. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 27, 2007 Pours a darkish slightly hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is quite mild but pretty good. Served it too cold . As it warms the aroma is much better. Candied malts, just a hint of hop sourness. Very easy drinker. Nice and smooth with an all around nice flavor. Baumgartner (108), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

Sampled this at the brewery/grille itself in draft and then later purchased a six pack of bottles. Sweet, nutty flavor. Rich color. Goes well with food. One to look for. falkirk005 (27), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
