Sep 1, 2008 Pitch black with giant tan head. Nose is rather weak, but has some roast on it. Flavor is sweet malt with roasted hints. Chocolate and slight coffee round out the flavor. Body is medium with a some bitterness on the finish.

Aug 13, 2008 pours very dark with lots of head. it will probably take a couple of pours to fill the glass because of all the head. taste is of coffee and is sweeter than exptected. finish is quite smooth. not a bad beer.

Aug 11, 2008 The body is virtually pitch black, capped by a foamy, tan colored head. Micro-bubble sheeting slides back towards the body, a few random splotches remaining frozen on the glass. The aroma is very straightforward, roasty baker’s chocolate and caramel notes showing alongside a dose of lactic creaminess. The flavor shows an unexpected, slightly sour funk to it up front, but that quickly fades into bitter chocolate, scorched caramel, day old coffee, barley, and earthy hops. Medium-plus in stature, the mouthfeel is drastically overcarbonated and fizzy. Is this supposed to b a stout soda, because that’s what it feels like. Not terribly impressive in any facet, the palate just ruins this one. Decent at best.

Jun 8, 2008 A pretty tastey stout. Pours a dark chocolate coloured body with a huge tan head. Soft aromas of a breakfast blend coffee, smoke and dark chocolate. Light vanillar flavor and a creamy finish.
