Commercial Description:
An excellent summer ale fermented with a special strain of Belgian yeasts that contribute a subtle fruitiness, soft texture and dry finish. This flavorful light-golden beer is very refreshing and dangerously drinkable.

A very clean golden, creamy looking white head. Mediocre retention, not much for stickiness off the bat but it sticks on the glass as it goes Soft malts, fruity esters - apple and pear. A modest pepperiness. Sweet, fruity, clean. Incredibly easy to drink, a near perfect amount of carbonation. Smooth and quite a dry finish. Fairly simple and straight forward, but nicely done.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear golden body with a small white head. Fruity caramel and floral hop aroma. Caramel fruit and molassas flavor. Medium full body with medum carbonation and a slightly syrupy finish.

On tap at the brewpub. According to the bartender, a batch of this is brewed every year, but the recipe changes. This one was 7.5% and 50 IBU. I don’t know whether the vintages vary enough to warrant different entries each year but, since the beer isn’t on RateBeer I can’t really judge. The "other site" has a version listed at 5.7%. It has a nice yeasty aroma, with lots of orange zest in the flavour. The mouthfeel is quite sweet and the bitterness (50 IBU seems quite pronounced for a Belgian style) doesn’t come through that strongly until the finish, but that is enough to prevent this brew seeming sticky sweet. Quite nice.
