Murky, deeper golden. A shorter creamy head, but a great retention on it.
A sweeter aroma than I may have expected. Suggests a decent balance of malts. Some citrus aromas.
As the scent suggested, a little sweeter, with the hops coming through later in the body, just before the finish. Citrus peel, bitter herb hops. A decent ale, perhaps not incredible.
A bit on the flatter side, but that could have just been how it was served that evening. Has a bit of a semi-dry finish. Not bad, not great.
Easy enough to drink, and not a bad brew overall, but maybe not so intriguing that I’d make it a regular indulgence.

Aug 15, 2009 Pours a clear dark golden copper white head light lacing slight floral aroma light sweet citrus taste and an equally light hop flavor kind of spicy at the end it was an average brew nothing special here

Jul 16, 2009 Had it with a dinner from the brew pub. It poured a nice light amber color but no head. It was a nice complement to the dinner.

Jun 5, 2009 (Sample Date: 1/17/2009 Source:South Street Brewery) Sampler at the brewery. Too much smoke in bar to get any aroma. Clear medium golden with small white head. Grain with light fruitiness in flavor. Light body with thin mouthfeel. Slightly sweet finish.

May 9, 2009 Draft. Pours a dark gold with a large, foamy, off white head. Light pine and citrus notes with a touch of caramel in the nose. Medium carbonation with a light, crisp mouthfeel. Pine, grass, and a bit of lemon on the palate. A bit on the watery side. Light malt notes in the background. Medium finish with some lingering bitterness. Lacks depth.

May 4, 2009 Can’t get much from this one on the nose. A hint of citrus there. Nice and fresh at least. Bitter flavor on the palate but not too much in the way of a finish. Light bodied. No head that I could see and no lacing of the glass. Don’t run to get this one.

Apr 29, 2009 Sampled at South Street. Pale amber with a bitter citrus aroma. Flavor was hoppy but a bit dry.

Jan 21, 2009 Light amber coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, a bit of malt and some toffee. Medium-bodied; Strong astringent malt tucked in with some nice fresh hops. Aftertaste shows little with malt being the strongest. Overall, a decent beer - definitely worth trying at the festival! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.
