A sweeter aroma than I may have expected. Suggests a decent balance of malts. Some citrus aromas.
As the scent suggested, a little sweeter, with the hops coming through later in the body, just before the finish. Citrus peel, bitter herb hops. A decent ale, perhaps not incredible.
A bit on the flatter side, but that could have just been how it was served that evening. Has a bit of a semi-dry finish. Not bad, not great.
Easy enough to drink, and not a bad brew overall, but maybe not so intriguing that I’d make it a regular indulgence.

Bitter flavor on the palate but not too much in the way of a finish. Light bodied. No head that I could see and no lacing of the glass. Don’t run to get this one. phukktifano (159), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 21, 2009 Light amber coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops, a bit of malt and some toffee. Medium-bodied; Strong astringent malt tucked in with some nice fresh hops. Aftertaste shows little with malt being the strongest. Overall, a decent beer - definitely worth trying at the festival! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.
