Clear red-brown pour with lots of bubbles and a tan head. A bit of haze throughout the glass. I did manage to pour without getting too much yeast into the glass. Very aromatic with nutty caramel malts. Cherry and fruit hints. Slightly sour fruity cherry flavor. Nice caramel and chcolate malt backbone. Hints of roast and coffee. Bitter hop finish.

Courtesy of Puzzl bottle from braketz place haul. Whiskey alcohol aroma hits the nose like you sprayed it with a nasal spray device. Also some dark fruit aroma along with caramel malt. Dark red body with with beige/mustard colored head. Flavor was thick blend of fruits, toffee, and alcohol. Smooth on the palate and enjoyable beer.

A bottle I got from Immy a while back. Poured a nice amber color with a foamy, off-white head. The aroma had a surprising bit of hops left in it along with mountains of sweet malts. The flavor is citrus hops with light spice and is dominated by malt. A welcome bit of warming alcohol noted towards the end. Wish I had some more.

Pours an attractive murky reddish brown, persistent tan head. The aroma is gorgeous, fruit, plums, malts, slight booziness (like bourbon or whiskey), toffee. The flavor is fruity, bready, cinnamon, booze again. Very nice. the palate is a slight warming from booze, and a sweet fruit taste left behind. Beautiful. The mouthfeel is medium to slightly thick, oily. This style is not available often enough. This is a great representation of a great style.

Corked and caged 750 mL bottle from Whole Foods Market Arlington, VA. Pours a deep strawberry red color with a large head. Good head retention and lacing. Malty aroma with toffee and caramel as well as spicy and bready notes. Taste is bread, toffee, big spicy notes and a hoppy finish. A little bit of chocolate as well and very, very faint port-like oxidation notes. Full bodied. Very nice.

I must have had this 3 times now. Pours a brown amber body with a tan head. Spicy notes, cinnamon and woody malty dark fruit. Chewy and full with a mild warming. Damp woody fruit and a sweet tea note. Nice.

Bottle at the Cuvee de Castleton release at Captain Lawrence. Pours a light hazy brow with a thin beige head. Malt, plums, and caramel on the nose. Medium bodied and chock full of plum and prune flavors.

Another awesome beer shared by footbalm. 750 ml bottle. Pours a murky brown color with a big tan head. The aroma is very rich; cinnamon and apples, yeast, something woody almost bourbon like. The flavor is similar; rich dry fruity malts, woody bourbon, yeast, dark fruit and nutty flavors. A very nice Old Ale. Not super sweet, more of a musty flavor. Excellent.
