Bottle @ LCRBM 2008. Dark brown color.Grapes and vanilla in the aroma. Vinous flavor with grapes, roast, vanilla and pineapple. Very nice beer, but somehow I expected more of it.

Small beige rim left; foxy-red beer with a slight haze. Alcohol, nuts, brandy, Christmas cake nose. Some fusels and dried banana chips. Sweet, dried fruits, but with an unexpected short bitterish peak, neither hoppy, neither roasted. Retronasal greenery/cabbage flavour. Slightly fiery MF, medium bodied, alcoholwarming. Nowhere bad, but one that didn’t grace as well as might have been expected.

Bottle@LCRBM08. Raisin and cookie aroma. Brown color, beige head, good lace. Raisin, sweet, bitter, light herbal, toffee. Sticky and full. Nice balance, maybe a bit too sweet, but nice.

Courtesy of idatetheformula. 06 bottle. Pours hazy brown, beige head. Aroma is sugary, dark fruits and yeasty. Taste, bottle was served at close to room temp. and wow if the alcohol and nice sugar flavors and fruits kicked in. Plenty of dark fruits (prune/cherry), nice candi sugar and malts. A trully amazing old ale.

Thanks to JMFG for the taste. Poured a cloudy dark brown with a spongy beige head. Smelled of dates, figs and a lot of sugar. This is ultra sweet with some malts and a little sherry. Lots of carbonation, too. Overal, a very good beer.

Big lasting sponge head. Apples, raisin, caramel, bread, yeast and a hint of alcohol in the baked desert aroma. Flavour is alcohol and sugar like an alcohol based sauce to pour over a baked desert. Lots of character as the malt floats over your tongue like waves. Alcohol, sugar, coffee, toffee and a hint of chocolate.

Sample courtesy JMFG. Pours a brownish red with a little head. Big caramel malt toffee, sweet sticky aroma. Sweet malt taste with caramel sherry and dark fruits. Very good beer.

Bomber purchased at the Publick House. I was concerned this would be past its prime, but was quickly relieved. Poured a ruddy brown with substantial foam. Nose was a little muted but had a distinct wood and spice aroma. Palate was thick but with still enough carbonation to keep it lively. Flavor was very enjoyable with no alcohol presence: sugary, sweet malts up front that were balanced with a long oaky dryness. This was perfectly aged with great flavor characteristics and nuance. I recommend grabbing bottles that are still kicking around.
