Commercial Description:
A very special 'Old Ale' brewed to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Brewed with a melting pot of ingredients and techniques to pay homage to our European (and American!) influences. A truly international brew!

Thanks, jjpm74, for the 750ml bottle. Dark muddy brown pour with an off white head that diminishes greatly but sticks around. Caramel, malt, toffee, raisins, port, a little yeast, and some musty sour wood notes on the nose. Fruit (plums, raisins, black cherries, and even peaches) on the front, but ends up more malty and a bit sugary. A little vanilla on the tongue as well. A complex brew, but something tells me this will thin out even more and maybe not improve too much more. Tastes good now, for sure, though.

Picked this one up last time I was in Nova. Plum, prune, and molasses in the aroma. Pours a cloudy amber reddish color with a big off-white head. The old ale makes a little more sense now that I read the description and the chalky sort of texture is very reminiscient of the style. A bit of a sweet and fruity flavor gives this a decent experience over all. Full bodied but more complex in its texture than its flavor.

2008-06-11. Dark brown body with a very nice beige head. Bozoe highlights in the aroma over mild sweet malt, touch of fruity yeast and hints at rum raisin. Nice, but just a touch muted. (7+) Big sweet malt starts off the flavour but gains a dry note in the finish, before leaving a lasting impression of sweet malt. (8+) Smooth medium bodied palate. (3+) Quite nice, grows on me a lot. 750 ml bottle - thanks to colin for this gem as the night just rolled on with another stellar brew; clear, ruby red with huge tan head; soapy sweet aromas of orange peels and malts with a slight tart twist; medium body, but a nice sweet, syrupy feel to it; molasses, sugar and some apple in the flavors; perfect level of sweetness and a nice dry finish; kick ass

Bottle acquired via trade from Tweety. WOW, this was incredible...THANKS!!! The aroma is dark fruit (raisin, plum, and cherry) along with inviting alcohol. Normally, I applaud the ability of a beer to hide it’s ABV. Here, somehow, it enhances the aroma and flavor!!! Age has done this beer well. Heavy molasses, brown sugar, toffee and caramel are evident along with a nice buttermilk biscuit presence. Wish this was still available!!! Thanks again Paul!!!

Murky brown in color with an average head. Sweet molasses and malt in the nose. Flavor is mild and malty. Very balanced. Not a loud, outspoken, "punch you in the face" brew - but it is still good.
