Pours a cloudy glowing orange with a silky, lace head. Aroma is moderately acidic with horse blaket and soft citrus. Very light and dry. The flavor is dominated by an appetizing sourness but in turn that takes away from the experience. Light huskiness. No bitterness.

Bottle thanks to eyedrinkale at RBSG05. Funky, cheesy, sour aroma with some acidic notes. Hazy golden color with a white head, Sour, astringent start with notes of pineappe and lemons. This has a long, dry finish. Interesting, but I don’t think I enjoyed this as much as others.

RBSG 2005... Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of barnyard, hay, citrus and spices. Taste of chardonnay grapes, tart, green apples, more citrus, and dry yeast,

750 ml bottle shared with MartinT, tiggmtl, Olivier_MTL, Rastacouere and Yowie iin Montreal. Cloudy light amber, luminous, with a bit of head that decays to a small ring...fruity-yeasty nose, pears and oranges sticky with perfumy flowers and honey....body could not be more different, startlingly so at first: hugely sour and gueuze-like, bitter orange leavened by tingly carbonation, just a hint of candy sugar, iron-like bitterness and brackishness later, a hard and rough rustic original from this awesome brewer.

Candy-like malty sweetness with biscuity malts and strong citrus fruitiness in the aroma with some leafy hops apparent. Opaque tan-orange body is topped by a lasting cover of white head that leaves a nice sudsy lace. Restrained leafy, citrus hops with a minty note balance the brown sugar sweetness and biscuit-like malts in the flavour. Medium body with fair carbonation that engages the tongue. Bottle enjoyed with MartinT, muzzlehatch, Olivier_MTL, Rastacouere and Yowie.

The Lure:
Citrus fruit plantations thrive miraculously well out of the fertile biscuity malt soil. Herbal hops perform Arabier-esque arabesques on their comfortable pie crust.

The Festivities:
Tart lemons surge somewhat unexpectedly from the understated biscuity malts and profess the acidity with prowess. Pink grapefruit hug the light hop bitterness admirably, but that sourness caught me off guard I must admit. I would have preferred more of that delicious malt cookie.

Transcendence:
I feel less intimate and relaxed when all the windows of the house are wide open.
