Aug 22, 2009 Purchased at the Headkeeper in Greensburg, looking for something different from my RIS routine.
Looks decent, not much head, dark brown liquid, nice carbonation saves it from being just average.
Smells kind of fruity, lightly spicy. Reminds me of an adjunct lager but cleaner.
Tastes very crisp and dry, again almost lagery, which makes sense considering this is basically a "Lagered ale." Not much in the way of depth but refreshing no less.
Mouth is thin and high in carbonation.
Good, may have to give this one another go.

Aug 22, 2009 aroma is of salami and pepper, for some reason. pours dark brown with minimal head. flavor has some buttery warmness, with some anise and and dark fruit likes dates and raisin. immediate alcohol burn, which was unexpected. leaves a rum-like cakey aftertaste. quite intriguing.

Aug 21, 2009 Very good indeed. Pretty dark amber with a big lacing head. The aroma is bread like and sweet. Flavor is nicely balanced with a malt sweetness followed by a dry hop finish.

Aug 18, 2009 Deep copper in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is heavy in dough and caramel with notes of malt, grainand toast. Taste is of caramel, malt, nuts, toast, and light raisin.

Aug 16, 2009 Bottle. Copperish in color, clear, with a decent beige colored head. The smell is dough like, malts, grains, and caramel. The taste is the same as the smell. Easy to drink but sort of simple.

Aug 11, 2009 Pours a nice copper colorWith a beige creamy head. Aromas of sweet caramel malts dominate the aroma. Flavor is of smooth caramel malts and raisins with the slightest hop hint at the finish.Very smooth and nicely balanced.

Aug 6, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a copper color with a small amount of off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts. Taste is mostly caramel malts with some darker toffee notes. Light hoppy finish. Light, yet creamy, palate. A pretty basic beer, but seems well made and refreshing to me.
